Junior Council Person Program (JCP)

Annually, the Borough of Fox Chapel seeks resumes from Borough high school students to participate in the Junior Council Person Program. Adopted in 2017 and revitalized in 2022, Borough Council saw an opportunity and value in incorporating a Junior Council Person Program into local government. The program is designed to encourage high school juniors and seniors to participate in local government and provide their perspectives and input.

The program runs for the length of the school year. Any Fox Chapel Area School District or Shady Side Academy juniors or seniors who are interested in the position should submit a letter of interest and resume to the Borough of Fox Chapel by June 30th.
